DAY 1: CITY TOUR GUAYAQUIL

The tour will begin in the city of Guayaquil, the Ecuador's main port, known as the Pearl of the Pacific for its breathtaking beauty. The first visit will be in the famous Parque Seminario, also known as the Park of Iguanas, and then we will visit the Malecon 2000, one of the main attractions of this beautiful city. You are going to witness the contrast between the picturesque and striking old city and the modern one, characterized by its modern buildings and places. Then, we are going to visit the Hemicycle de la Rotonda and its famous statues of Simon Bolivar and San Martin, and the Las Peñas Neighborhood, a picturesque colonial place at the end of Malecon 2000, and situated next to the Guayas River. It is a common practice to climb the stairs of Las Peñas to the top of the Santa Ana Hill, where you will be able to observe a panoramic view of Guayaquil. Accommodation.

DAY 2: PARQUE HISTÓRICO - FINCA AGRICOLA

In the second day, we are going to visit the Guayaquil Historic Park, a theme park with an extension of 8 hectares constructed to promote education, culture, environmental knowledge, but also tourism and recreation. The park has a large recreational tourist space divided into three areas: the wildlife area with local flora and fauna, the ​​traditions area, and the architectural urban area that recreates the buildings of Guayaquil at the beginning of the 20th century. The next visit will be at a farm dedicated to the cultivation of fine aroma cacao. In this place you will have the opportunity to interact with the nature, but also to learn about the process of cultivation of cacao, from the selection of the seed, the harvesting, and its transformation to chocolate. DAY 3 : ISLA SANTAY

The departure will be at 08:00 am from the “Simon Bolivar” dock at the Naval Yacht Club. The mangroves of the islands can be admired by navigating through the Huaquillas, Del Amor and Matilde estuaries, and through the canal in front of Gallo Island. On the shores of the islands and the estuaries, you can see the unique flora and fauna that inhabit these beautiful places. Near the Matilde estuary are located the remains of one of the old haciendas. From the San Jacinto de Santay community you can select many places to visit: the river, the downtown, the museums, and some historic monuments. Later in the day, we will visit the Ecovillage and the coastal crocodile breeding center, a species that is in danger of extinction. Then we are going to return to Guayaquil. End of the tour.
